Ubuntu Heritage Festival
A full afternoon of drum circles, a runway of continental fashion, and food stalls from twelve regions. Our biggest gathering of the year.
One community, many stories. We bring students and neighbours together through celebration, mentorship, and shared table.
Free for members, open to all. Doors, food, and good company every time.

A full afternoon of drum circles, a runway of continental fashion, and food stalls from twelve regions. Our biggest gathering of the year.

Alumni across finance, medicine, tech, and the arts return for an evening of honest advice, warm introductions, and small-plate dinner.

Two hands-on days: a Saturday cooking lab led by student chefs, and a Sunday percussion class. Leave with recipes and a beat of your own.
We exist so that no student has to leave home to feel at home on campus.
Founded by a handful of first-year students who missed the sound of their languages, AASU has grown into a home base for African and allied students of every background. We run mentorship pairings, host the traditions that raised us, and open every door we can to the wider community. Culture kept, shared, and carried forward.
Join the list for event invites, mentorship openings, and the occasional recipe. No spam, one email a fortnight at most.
